  • Daeboreum, festival bulan purnama pertama
  • Dano, festival musim semi

Dano
Dano falls on the 5th day of the 5th month of the Lunar Calendar. It is sometimes know as Suri day or Chunjungjul.

Chuseok
Chuseok is also know as Hangawee. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. In the ancient times, the Koreans used to worship and hold festival under the full moon. Bulcho is the tradition of cutting weeds around one’s ancestral graves during Chuseok and it is considered as a duty towards one’s ancestors to visit one’s ancestral graves. On the morning of the Chuseok, families will gather around the head of family house where the household shrines were located to pay respect to their ancestors. On this day, npine flavoured rice cake stuffed with chestnuts, sesame or beans (songpyeon), taro soup (torantang) were served.
